Mockups are designed for easy and efficient editing. PSD mockup files typically have a similar structure, with a 'Smart Object' layer for placing the design and a 'Solid Color' layer for changing the part color. The tips in this article can be applied to mockups from various websites.
How to Open the File
1. Extract the zip file.
2. There is a mockup that uses the displace effect (Photoshop Filter > Distort > Displace) so that the design layer can bend following the fabric's contours.
For example, one of the mockups we created has two PSD files named "Front.PSD" and "Front-DM.PSD." The displace file is typically much smaller than the main file.
You should open the file "Front.PSD" as it is the main file that you can edit, while "Front-DM.PSD" is the displace file.
How to Change the Design
1. Double-click the layer thumbnails in the "CHANGE THIS" group.
How to Change the T-Shirt Color
1. Expand the main t-shirt layer group, then the part group.
2. Click the eye icon to unhide the layer named "Color Change".
3. Double-click the thumbnails on the layer.
4. Select the color you like in the Color-Picker panel then click "OK".
Do the same thing to the other part of the t-shirt and the background.
